On Tuesday, Nov. 15, volleyball captain Logan Boyer-Hayse (junior) added yet another award to her already illustrious career. The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) honored Boyer-Hayse as an NCAA Division III First Team All-American. This came after she had already earned First Team All-SCIAC, First Team All-West Region and West Region All-Tournament selections the previous week and a Third Team All-American award last season. The 5’9″ outside hitter from Boulder, Colorado led the Tigers with 3.66 kills per set and was sixth in the SCIAC with 3.73 digs per set. Boyer-Hayse helped Occidental post a 22-9 record in 2011 as the team won its first playoff game in 20 years.
