On trips to the Cooler, we always find people’s leftovers and trash left behind on tables and on the floor. We do not understand what the issue is. It is not the responsibility of the Cooler staff to pick up after patrons of the Cooler, nor is it the responsibility of the Cooler staff to make sure that all trash is deposited in the proper bins-that responsibility falls on the patrons. It is absolutely disgusting in the Cooler on Friday and Saturday nights. When you go into the Cooler, just take a look at the table in the TV room between the couches. There will be at least five half-full VitaminWaters, about six hot-sandwich trays, 20 or more disbanded ketchup packets and a whole grip of napkins. This is really unfair not only the staff, but to those who don’t feel like sitting in other people’s filth. So if you are one of the people that leave your stuff there, we challenge you to take some responsibility as a person and pick up after yourself like your mother and father taught you. Being drunk doesn’t excuse being messy. Also, fuck people who break shit on the weekends in the residence halls. We will break your face.
