Since letters to the editor seem to be the forum for voicing one’s complaints that the editor can do nothing about, I felt compelled to go along and say something. Lately I’ve noticed that in the quad when people eat lunch outside they fail to clean up after themselves. And it’s just getting out of hand. Oftentimes I see empty to-go containers mere steps away from the trash! Really, Oxy? Is this the best you can do? I am always bombarded with information about being green around here, yet it is SO difficult to just put your unwanted leftovers in the trash? That is just sad.
In addition, there have been times when trays or plates/utensils from the Marketplace are left outside. Why? It should not be so difficult to just pick the stuff up and put them where they belong! You took the time to bring it all outside, the least you can do is take the time to put it all back. It’s just gross and disrespectful to leave them out and just expect someone else to clean up after you. We’re all adults here, and it’s about time we start acting the part.
