As the school year comes to an end, more and more students are flocking to the library for a quiet and productive space to study in. I know I have a ton of papers that are piling up and although I have a comfy room, no place says “do work” like the library.
On the occasions that I have gone to the library to do work, people talking on cell phones have constantly bothered me. I know this cannot be just my peeve; anti-cell phones-in-the-library facebook group requests have been hitting my inbox on the daily.
I think it’s a common courtesy that if your phone rings and you’re in the library, hit the silent button, take the phone outside and have your conversation about your life plans somewhere else. I’m not saying your life isn’t engaging, but I am asking that you respect my study space.
