Walking through Disneyland’s signature gateway and through the tunnel under Railroad Station, visitors are greeted not by a friendly mouse, but with an enormous Mickey Mouse pumpkin in the center of Main Street. The pumpkin is just one of the many festive decorations celebrating the Halloween season at the park. Nothing is scary, but everything is upbeat, cute, and perfect for children. Disneyland’s Halloween Time provides spooktacular fun for all generations from their intricately carved Disney-themed pumpkins peering through the windows of Main Street to the completely transformed Haunted Mansion Holiday, where Jack Skellington and his ghoulish friends make a “Nightmare out of Christmas” in this signature Disneyland ride. Whether you’re looking for a good scare, or just a great time with a few trick-or-treats in store, Disneyland’s Halloween Time is the place to go.

While Knott’s Berry Farm remains normal during the day, come nightfall, the horrifying ghouls and goblins of the dead haunt the streets of “Knotts Scary Farm.” During the Halloween season, the main attractions of the park at night are the newly added ghastly-themed mazes teeming with creepy monsters and ghosts out to scare and chill you to the bone. If you’re too lighthearted for the labyrinths of horror, you can always test your fears on the roller coasters and thrill rides at Knott’s since most of the traditional rides and attractions of the day are still open at night for everyone to go on. But beware, no matter where you go in the park, there are always surprises around every corner.
