The Occidental women’s lacrosse team is playing Saturday’s game against Pomona-Pitzer for a cause close to its hearts. The Purple Game will be dedicated to the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Los Angeles. Lauren Wemple, a senior attacker, has battled epilepsy herself and shared her story with her teammates who supported her fully.

“I wanted to share my story and reach out to the Epilepsy Foundation. What better way to raise awareness and bring light to the disease than to do it with my teammates who are my best friends?” Wemple said.

Students are encouraged to come to Kemp Stadium at 12:45 p.m. for the Game Dedication Ceremony before the contest’s 1 p.m. start.
