Thanks for the article on atypical cinema in Los Angeles and the Cinefamily mention. Because I am both the Director of Operations of the Cinefamily and an Oxy student, I wanted to make sure the Oxy community is aware of all the cool opportunities the Cinefamily has for students.
The Cinefamily is currently seeking to extend its community outreach through its volunteer and internship program, to which Oxy students are encouraged to apply! Our volunteers are a vital component of the Cinefamily’s operations, providing support for all of our exciting screenings and events. There are year-round opportunities to volunteer in a variety of capacities, including event support, graphic design, film editing and archiving, marketing, promotions and PR. This is a great opportunity for students to gain valuable experience working with a local non-profit (and you also get free tickets to Cinefamily events for donating your time!).
We’re also running a special promo specifically for college students: every college student in L.A. gets a FREE one-month membership for the Cinefamily!
