I would like to alert students interested in finance and investing of an incredible opportunity with the Charles R. Blyth Fund. The Blyth Fund is a board of 12 students elected to manage a portion of the school’s endowment. Fund directors manage an investment portfolio and focus on education to obtain experience that is typically not available in a liberal arts education. For interested students, I am happy to announce two exciting opportunities to learn more about the Fund and investing in general.

First, Blyth Fund is now holding open meetings once a week for members of the community to learn how we operate. In October, the open meetings will be held Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. in the Galarza Room in the library. If you can’t make it during that time slot, open meetings will be moved to Mondays at 8:30 p.m. in November. Second, the Blyth Fund will be hosting an online investing competition for students starting on October 15th.

If interested, send me an email (rinfantino@oxy.edu) and I will send you the invitation to the game. If you are contemplating applying for the Blyth Fund in the spring, each of these opportunities are a great way to network with current directors and improve your investing knowledge. For more information about the Blyth Fund, please visit www.blythfund.com.
